The PCWI Wet Sponge Porosity Detector is engineered for the non-destructive detection of pinholes in coatings applied over conductive substrates. Utilizing the "wet sponge method," this device offers three selectable test voltage options:
- 9V: Suitable for coatings up to 300 micrometres.
- 67.5V: Ideal for coating assessments adhering to ASTM standards.
- 90V: Appropriate for coatings up to 500 micrometres.
The detector features an LED display indicating the selected voltage and provides both audible and visual alarms upon detecting a fault. Its telescopic handle extends from 350mm to 1.2m, enhancing user comfort during inspections. The kit includes the main unit, a handle with an attached sponge, a belt clip, a 7-meter earth lead, and a carry case for portability.
