Inner Lens

The inner lens is the closest lens to the face inside the Astro helmet. It is typically a transparent safety lens designed to provide clear vision and additional eye protection.

Impact-resistant polycarbonate inner lens that protects eyes, prevents fogging, and maintains clear vision. Sits behind the tinted lens for optimal performance.

Middle Lens

The middle lens in an Astro helmet is typically the sun-tinted lens positioned between the clear outer visor and the inner comfort shield. Its main purpose is to reduce glare, block strong light, and protect the eyes during bright conditions.

Tinted lens that reduces glare and protects from sunlight, positioned between the outer and inner safety lenses.

Mylar Lens

Outer Mylar Lenses (Tear-offs): These are thin, clear films made of Mylar (a type of copolyester film) that protect the main lens from the primary blast of abrasive material. The helmet features a unique tear-off system with pre-folded tabs, allowing the operator to quickly tear away one layer at a time without removing the helmet or gloves, saving significant downtime.
